VR in Schools

we bring virtual reality to you

Experience the future of education in a Virtual Reality Demonstration by Optimus Gaming, Perth’s No.1 VR Studio, using some of the latest VR technologies available in the market today. The demo also is showcasing the state-of-the-art AR technology set to sweep the education world.

We are moving away from simply ‘learning’ a subject or topic to ‘feeling’ the content. This is not simply an engagement tool or a gimmick, it allows a student to explore, to experience or to be involved in something, as if they are actually present in that environment or place.

The 2-4 hour school demo allows your students to experience Virtual Reality and the impact that it will have in their life.

demo includes

  • a presentation describing AR and VR technologies and the impact of the technology in the modern world
  • an instructor to guide students through controls and the various VR experiences and games
  • 2 x HTC VIVE VR headsets (wireless*)
  • 1 x PICO Goblin Stand alone headset
  • interactive room-scale experience

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE

  • Classroom / gymnasium space at least 40 sqm
  • Teacher to support our instructor to manage students who are not involved in the VR experience

event sizes

Essentially the demo will allow students to experience VR but it is recommended to allow for at most 6 students per headset per hour (which allows for 10 minutes of VR view-time). So it would be advisable to book at least a 2 hour session (2 headsets) for a class of up to 24 students.

technology

HTC Vive - VIVE is a first-of-its-kind virtual reality system. The HTC Vive is a high-end virtual reality headset developed by HTC and Valve Corporation. The headset uses "room scale" tracking technology, allowing the user to move in 3D space and use motion-tracked handheld controllers to interact with the VR environment.
